The Interfaith Center Receives Major Grant
The Interfaith Center is honored to receive a generous grant of over $23,000 from The Roy and Christine Sturgis Charitable and Educational Trust. This grant will support the equipment and furnishing needs of The Interfaith Center, allowing us to expand and enrich our educational and programmatic offerings and to reach new audiences.
Interfaith Community Feature: Muslim and Christian Youth Build Friendships
Last month, Muslim youth from Arkansas Culture and Dialog Center and Christian youth from The Pinnacle Mountain Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints–two long-time partners of The Interfaith Center–got together for an evening of fun, friendship, and interfaith understanding.

After a few years of rest, it's time to revive the Multi-Faith Youth Group! The Multi-Faith Youth Group (MFYG) is an interfaith program for high school students centered around leadership development, community engagement, and relationship building.

New Interfaith Center Building
The Interfaith Center is proud to announce its new home at 1616 Spring Street! This historic home is located across the street from Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and is familiar to many in the interfaith community as it most recently hosted one of the Afghan families that The Interfaith Center and its partner congregations helped to resettle.
The Interfaith Center Receives Humanitarian Award
The Interfaith Center has been named one of Just Communities of Arkansas's Humanitarian Organizations of the Year! Since 1964, the Humanitarian Award Celebration has honored one or more individuals who have demonstrated a significant commitment to building inclusive communities.

The Interfaith Center Announces Leadership Transition
It is with mixed emotions that we share with you the decision of our executive director, Sophia Said, to step away from her role as Executive Director of the Interfaith Center of Arkansas in the summer of 2023.
Sophia Said Receives the Prestigious Brooks Hays Christian Citizenship Award
On Sunday February 12th, Second Baptist Church in Downtown Little Rock, honored Sophia Said, the Executive Director of The Interfaith Center of Arkansas and Founder of Madina Institute, with this prestigious award. The award was presented to Sophia during their Sunday morning worship service followed by a lovely lunch reception in their fellowship hall. This is the first time a non christian has been given this award which shows how Sophia and her work truly crosses all religious boundaries.
