Interfaith Youth Group
Building young interfaith leaders
Relaunching in fall 2025, the Interfaith Youth Group is a welcoming and inclusive community where high school youth from different religious backgrounds can build relationships, grow spiritually, develop leadership skills, and be a force for good in our world.
Throughout the year, this group will visit local places of worship, participate in community events, learn communication and dialog skills, share meals, volunteer in the community, celebrate holidays, and more.
Youth members are empowered to take the lead, planning events, sharing their knowledge, and serving our community.
Ready to join? Please complete the application below. Applications will be considered in the order received, and preference may be given to those of faith backgrounds not currently represented among our youth members.

Our History
Originally known as the Multi-Faith Youth Group, this program began in 2012 as a project by Sophia Said as a part of her studies at the Clinton School of Public Service through the Clinton Global Initiative along with her classmate Kate Cawvey.
This project, entitled “Building Bridges through Interfaith Dialogue,” brought together Baha’i, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Hindu youth to create a shared vision of their community and to grow together. Youth would listen, share, and grow together, dispelling preconceived assumptions, learning to define themselves, and creating a shared vision of the future based upon common humanity.
It began with a community forum and grew into the Multi-Faith Youth Group—a committed and diverse group of high school students who met regularly for interfaith dialog, leadership development, and community service. Led by a religiously diverse group of adult volunteers, this group continued for many years until going dormant around 2020.
In the spring of 2025, a group of youth and adults began meeting and dreaming what a newly relaunched interfaith youth group could look like, and we are excited to see what this new year and renewed program will bring!
