The Interfaith Center and Braver Angels Arkansas will host a special event focused on learning and practicing skills for having respectful conversations about difficult topics, including politics and religion. The presentation event will be led by Glen White and Patricia Matthews, both trained as Braver Angels moderators.

Participants will first hear a brief presentation about Braver Angels and political polarization, followed by training and practice in specific communication and conflict resolution skills for engaging in respectful and productive conversations, particularly on politically charged topics. The final part of the event will be engaging in a discussion on a topic agreed on by the group that provides an opportunity for participants to practice the skills for respectful conversations.

Time: The teaching portion of the event runs from 6:00 - 7:15 pm, and participants can choose to stay for optional dialogue practice time until 7:30 pm.

This event is free and open to the public and all are welcome to attend. An RSVP is preferred but not required.

For more information, contact Patricia (executivedirector@theinterfaithcenter.org) or Glen (gwhite@braverangels.org) or call 501-400-7257.
