Interfaith Volunteer Network: Making Cards for Those in Need

  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pinnacle Mountain Ward building 600 South Rodney Parham Road Little Rock, AR, 72205 United States (map)

Building interfaith relationships through service.

Join the Interfaith Volunteer Network for its inaugural service day! Individuals and families from all faith backgrounds are invited to serve our community together as we make cards for patients at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, senior citizens, and new residents at Providence Park, a new residential community for chronically homeless individuals. Bring your creativity and compassion, and come ready to make a new friend from a different religion!

This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.

Some basic supplies will be provided, but participants are invited to bring supplies to use during the event, including:

  • 8.5x11 card stock (matte finish, not glossy)

  • Stickers

    • Stickers for the children's cards must be flat as their cards will be laminated

    • Stickers for seniors can be any variety, including 3D, jewels, etc. The final folded card sizes will be 4.25x5.5 inches, so avoid stickers with a dimension larger than 5.5 inches.

  • Markers

    • Some markers will be used to accent cards, while others will be used to write messages, so a variety of point sizes are ideal.

  • Scissors

  • Glue sticks

  • Your imagination!

A program of The Interfaith Center, The Interfaith Volunteer Network provides opportunities for people of different faith backgrounds to work alongside one another to serve our community and build relationships. Learn more, and join us for future service opportunities!
